This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Aerostich Darien Jacket. Introduced in 1992, the Cordura nylon 
Darien started a revolution that changed how millions of today’s street riders dress. All protective abrasion 
resistant textile jackets descend directly from the original pioneering Darien...the first example of an
 all-new kind of riders clothing. 

To mark the occasion, all Darien jackets sold this year (from 3/1/02 to 12/31/02) will include a 
free Aerostich TF2 back pad. This optional accessory is a $60.00 value.

The Darien jacket was first shown at the 1992 ‘Oktoberfest’ BMW Rally in San Diego, 
California. Since then it has received continuous updating and many functional refinements. 
The still-revolutionary Darien remains one of the world’s lightest armored textile rider’s 
jackets. It’s tricot laminated 500 denier Cordura fabric and unique seam sealed construction 
help make it cooler to wear in hot riding conditions than conventionally lined jackets.
