The grey TLTec Wind Pro model features a thick, dense 200 wt. wind resistant “super fleece” which is extremely breathable yet provides 4x better insulation and more draft resistance than common department store fleeces.

The blue TLTec Wind Blocker version is made with a slightly thinner and even more highly windproof 100 wt. fleece that offers 2X faster moisture wicking than other windproof fleeces, while retaining good breathability for all day comfort. It's also marginally more compact-to-pack. Because of its slightly more wind-blocking TL Tec, it also offers a bit higher insulation level (as measured in lab testing) than the noticeably thicker Wind Pro model.

Wear either as a cold weather comfort layer inside a Darien Jacket, or alone as a casual/off-bike jacket. Wherever you are going, both eliminate some of the weight and bulk of traditional liners, and both are equally long-use durable. They both feature a durable water repellent (DWR) finish to keep you drier and more comfortable thru the wettest conditions.

You’ll quickly become addicted to this face shield squeegee. Made of a stretchy silicone material that easily conforms to the thumb or index finger of your left hand, VeeWipes make riding in the rain safer. Yes, I do use our little face shield kit. And for some reason don’t miss the ’spray pump’ component. Over the last few years I've become more squeamish about using the filthy windshield cleaning tools in the dirty water out by the gas pumps. I was fine doing that for years but now what I do is take some of the paper towels off the pump island and jam them into my helmet and use the sink in the rest room to clean my helmet. This takes a little more time but at least I’m getting clean water. I don’t use the Protect-All wax (one bottle has windex and the other Protect-All) during the day. I usually apply a fresh coat at night after the day’s ride is over. My last trip was six road days and four motel nights (to-and-from NYC the slow way) so I did the wax treatment four times. When it rains on a Protect-All’d face shield it’s almost as good as Armor-All, and bug splats are also easier to remove.

This connector is used as a suit side entry pocket pass-through, and eliminates the need to thread the power wire through the side entry zip in one piece suits. The SAE end plugs into the electric garment, ending in a QuiConnect 2 coaxial male connector (inside the suit). Captured by the side entry zip or powercord port, this connects to a 6.5" QuiConnect 2 female wire with an SAE end to connect to the standard switch coil cord (outside the suit). The elec-gear wire pass-thru in all of the one-piece suits (Classic Roadcrafter, R3, R-3 Light) was inspired by Steve Hall, who called it the 'Hall-Pass'. Thanks Steve!'

On extended trips you can count on experiencing higher elevations, all-day cold snaps, or some chilly early starts. These pants are made to a functional, comfortable pattern and pack light and small. For ventilation and convenience, #5 YKK two-way zippers run down the inside, just like the Roadcrafter pant design, so they go on easily, even over boots. Stiff and light, the Carbon Fiber Sidestand Plate is about the same dimensions as a pack of cigs (but thin), so it will fit into your pocket with room to spare.
