Sheepskin cushions, cools and lets air circulate. When it’s sticky hot, you’ll sit cooler. And when it’s freezing, sheepskin is warm and comfy. Between extremes it’s always luxurious. Sheepskin has long been used by those who sit for extended periods because of how it cushions and vents.

These are luxurious top grade sheepskins, laminated with an Aerostich-exclusive, non-skid 3⁄16" PVC foam mesh base, so they won’t creep around on your saddle, even if you ride aggressively. They also won’t hold or absorb much water. Saddle sheepskin pads help you stay more comfortable, refreshed and alert on long rides. Each pad features eight strategic bungee attachment points, two lengths of adjustable bungee, and four no-scratch nylon hooks for a custom installation. Made in America.

Note: Not recommended for use on leather saddles.

Sheepskin Works Better Than You’d Think

And will last a lot longer, too. These Sheepskin Saddle Pads are simple to install and during this past winter I wanted to save my butt from freezing each time I got on this bike, which was my near-daily winter transportation. The bike’s alternator doesn't make much electricity and I’d previously added heated grips and a driving light, and replaced it's saddle foam with firmer foam and thus didn’t want to rebuild the saddle to add a saddle-heat kit.

My Sheepskin Saddle Pad was one of the first ones we made and is now over twenty years old. It’s been on a BMW airhead, a BMW oilhead, a Honda XR650L, and this Suzuki. It hasn’t been in continuous use, but nevertheless has been baked for days beneath a broiling sun, been rained hard on, frozen, and buried under snow. Light rain and fog beads nicely so on those days I’ll simply brush most of it away with the back of my glove, sit down and go. Wool’s naturally nappy fibers compress slightly beneath you so you'll sit warmer when it is cold and cooler when it is hot. This added comfort is measurable in extra miles during long summer riding days, as well as during below freezing daily commutes.
